Trudy Allsopp has enjoyed great success exhibiting with us over the last few years and she is joining us again with an interesting array of new work.
Broadly speaking she’s a mixed media artist working in a non-representational abstract style. In non-art speak this means she works in an abstract style and isn’t setting out to represent a particular subject or image. Working very intuitively, she makes marks, lines and shapes and then responds to what is on the canvas to build up a piece.
Trudy is showing a range of pieces from a new body of work where she is experimenting with minimalist and gestural brushstrokes using raw canvas and acrylic paint.
She is also presenting a new collection of small works including framed watercolour and acrylic and other mixed media pieces. They all have her signature peaceful, harmonious and very gentle style.
She hopes you enjoy her latest work.
